It’s been an Irish Spring day this morning with rain in various quantities and strength as we depart for Castleconnell, just on the outskirts of Limerick. However, a fairly easy 1.15-hour drive.

We met our pet/housesit host, Mary and Sonja the dog, just before she heads out to the airport, Mary that is. Lovely, renovated old stone cottage; modern and warm with bonus! A sauna. The house is 5 minutes walk to the village, which has a pretty good supermarket and three pubs. So, we purchased enough little things to make pizza for tonight.

Storm Kathlene has impacted Ireland and we had rain and some wind here in Limerick overnight. Power went out for 2 seconds during the evening but all is well now. Will head in to the Limerick Milk Market tomorrow.
